Hey everyone! 👋🏼 This is a reminder that our Towerrunning practice sessions through May (no practice May 6th) will be at City Vue@Henderson! 🏢 We'll be meeting drop off point for blocks 95C and 96A every Saturday morning at 10:00 AM.

If you're new to Towerrunning or want to improve your skills, come join us for a fun and challenging workout. We'll be climbing stairs, pushing ourselves to the limit, and enjoying the amazing views from the top of the building. 🌇

Don't forget to bring water, and a positive attitude! We can't wait to see you there. 😊

New month, new stairwell to conquer!This April we are at Forfar Heights, Queenstown. It's a new practice ground for many of us.

Fun fact: Back in 2021 during the lockdown period, Forfar Heights was one of the legs in of our virtual challenge where we scaled 7 HDB tower blocks in one day!

Also, the precinct is connected to Queenstown MRT station all the way via a sheltered walkway

'It's another deja-vu race when I have to prep for another stair race, and this time it's back to Sibu again. Throw back to Sibu Tower Run 2020, a mere week before the global Covid lockdown, I was coughing like crazy, and managed to snap 1st place in mere 0.3 secs, and this is what a good friend, mentor, peer and all time rival Serene Cheong is aiming to beat this time in 2023. Champions must be beaten, so the saying goes.

And this gives me the ultimate stress and kick start panic-training mode.

I trained the stairs until I couldn't take it anymore. About 3-4 out of 7 days a week of stairs. Out went swim, run and bike. It's just stairs and stairs and so much stairs that I'd rather jay-walked to cross the stress than to take a pedestrian bridge.

But my stair reps this time is not up to par. I had to call it off after mere 3 sets of 35 floors per set. It didn't help that I was doing this at either 11pm or 3 am. My energy levels just not there.

Then... to top it off, my flight on the day before the race got cancelled at first, another stress inducing thing, then rescheduled to 5 hours later. Then the dreaded time of the month where most women pre-50 have to bear, started.

In the end, in 2023 Sibu race, Serene beat me fair and square by a whooping 13 secs.

It's time to treat myself to a second helping of humble pie, buckle down, and love the pain stair running gives me again.'

Love Michelle's attitude, didn't get the result she wanted but can use that to fuel the fire for the next challenge!

Yi Qun - one of our newest and brightest future stars

'Wisma Sanya, the tower at the Sibu Race, is not as high as what one would normally expect for tower running. This makes training for it easier, as I could find similar height HDB buildings and train in them. It was quite vibrant on race day, and many were excited about the race. One interesting aspect of tower running is to meet tower runners from other countries like Malaysia and Japan, and to run alongside the very best from other countries. Running 28 stories is not difficult at the start, but the ache comes in towards the end, and I am glad to have won 5th place in the Men Open category.

This is a particularly memorable moment for me as it is my first tower running prize, and I will be looking to clinch more for the Singapore team in the future!'

Does anyone in Singapore have the minerals to compete with the Towerrunning Association of Singapore's finest Charles and Serene? Not looking likely in 2022 at least. Serene maintained her unbeaten run in 2022 with another handy victory at the Bendemeer Light race over 40 floors, clocking an impressive 3:34. Charles was the only one to take it below 3:30 on the day and adds to his string of victories this year. The two fastest towerrunners in Singapore dominate over 39 floors at Fraser's Tower, Singapore.

Our best climbers Serene and Charles are getting comfortable at the top with another victory in Singapore. When we initially decided to setup the Towerrunning Association of Singapore, we had some uncertainty about exactly what our aims were but there was one thing we were all agreed on...the association should work to make a positive impact on the local community. We even enshrined this key aim in our Constitution.

We strive tirelessly to fulfill the commitments we made on Day 1 and are proud to announce our collaboration with the Community Chest organisation in Singapore. We rallied our members and supporters and have so far raised an amazing 2,500 SGD to support the Com Chest Heartstrings Walk. Co-organised by Community Chest and Marina Bay Sands, Community Chest Heartstrings Walk is an annual event which aims to build a caring and inclusive society. #communitychest #singapore #heartstringssingaporewalk2022 #charitysingapore
